"Warren is entering his fourth NFL season in position for a larger role following the offseason departure of Najee Harris. Warren has thus far been limited to a situational role (11.3 touches per game since the start of 2023), though it hasn't helped that Harris hasn't missed a single game since Warren entered the league. Warren is primarily a passing-game specialist (his 99 receptions ranks seventh among RBs over the past two seasons) but, while he hasn't cleared 149 carries or four TDs in a season, he has run well (4.8 YPC, 2.0 YAC). Rookie Kaleb Johnson may eventually work his way into a significant role as a rusher, but Warren will be the main main the meantime. He's in the RB2 mix."


"Warren was cleared Friday from an ankle injury, though there was still some question as to whether he'd handle his typical workload. However, he matched his season high with 18 carries and reached at least 60 rushing yards for the third straight game. Warren also found the end zone for only the fourth time this season on a one-yard plunge late in the second quarter. Warren remains the traditional lead back for Pittsburgh despite ceding work as a pass catcher, and he's a reliable, if unspectacular, contributor."
