"Waller ended his one-year retirement and was traded to the Dolphins in July. Once a fantasy star, Waller produced back-to-back top-3 fantasy campaigns during the 2019-20 seasons and was top 10 on a per-game basis the following two years. Of course, he just sat out an entire season, is set to turn 33 years old this fall, hasn't played more than 12 games in a season since 2020 and hasn't averaged double-digit fantasy points in a season since 2021. On the plus side, he has an easy path to snaps and targets and will be working in an offense that faces a ton of two-high looks and allowed Jonnu Smith to produce high-end TE1 numbers for most of 2024. Waller is worthy of late-round flier."

"Waller was forced out of Miami's loss to the Browns in Week 7 after playing just 15 offensive snaps before recording a catch, and he now appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons. With the Dolphins already without Tyreek Hill (knee - ACL) for the year, an absence for any stretch of time on Waller's part will be a significant blow to a passing game that's already struggling. Tight ends Julian Hill and Tanner Conner will benefit from increased workloads in Week 8 if Waller can't go, as will wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in the No. 3 role behind Jaylen Waddle and Malik Washington. Head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Waller isn't expected to be available versus Atlanta or on Thursday Night Football against the Ravens in Week 9, per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network."

"Evans was selected by the Panthers in the fifth round of April's draft. He is a capable two-way tight end who peaked as a receiver with a 43-421-3 receiving line in 2024 at Notre Dame. It was a solid rebound after substantial missed action in 2022 (broken foot) and 2023 (torn ACL). Evans ran a solid 4.74 40-yard dash at 258 pounds at the combine. He'll likely slot in as the team's No. 3 tight end behind second-year Ja'Tavion Sanders and veteran Tommy Tremble."

"Prior to the Week 11 win, Evans hadn't recorded a catch since the Week 7 win over the Jets, drawing just one target during that stretch. He logged 29 offensive snaps during Sunday's win but still operated as the Panthers' No. 3 tight end, playing behind Tommy Tremble (42 snaps) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (37 snaps). Evans is likely to remain in a limited offensive role for the Week 12 matchup against the 49ers."
