"Vele failed to record a single catch for just the second time this season while playing just 22 of the Broncos 42 offensive snaps against this Bills, his lowest snap total of the campaign. Despite the rough ending, the wideout turned in a solid rookie season. Vele finished the year with 41 receptions on 55 targets for 475 yards and three touchdowns across 13 games. "Mattison signed with the Dolphins after failing to lock down lead back duties in Minnesota in 2023 and Las Vegas last season. Mattison had a few solid outings in 2024 (four games with 15-plus fantasy points), but he was limited to a situational role most of the year, only clearing 11 touches five times. Mattison's yards per carry plummeted to an ugly 3.2 last season and, while he's capable as a rusher and receiver (30-plus catches two season in arow), he's yet to show he's anything more than a competent backup. The 27-year-old will battle second-year Jaylen Wright for change-of-pace duties behind De'Von Achane. He's not a fantasy option."

"Mattison is swapping teams with Raheem Mostert, whose deal with the Raiders was reported about two hours earlier. While Mostert perhaps has a chance to rebound from a disappointing 2024 and earn a key role, Mattison will merely be competing for a backup job behind De'Von Achane. The Dolphins presumably hope 2024 fourth-round pick Jaylen Wright secures the second spot on the depth chart, with Mattison essentially being a backup plan for the backup. "Hopkins buried a chip shot from 23 yards early in the second quarter before the game got away from the Browns, who were thinking only about touchdowns the rest of the way. The four points scored were the most for a Cleveland kicker since Week 12. After a very successful 2023 -- one that resulted in a three-year contract in the offseason -- Hopkins went the other way in 2024.
