"Singletary is headed into his seventh NFL season, including his second with the Giants. The veteran back opened the 2024 season as New York's lead back (72% snap share and 16.5 touches per game during Weeks 1-4), but after missing the next two games, he returned to a backup role behind Tyrone Tracy Jr. From that point on, Singletary played 27% of the snaps and averaged 6.2 touches per game. The 28-year-old is a solid player with three 215-plus touch seasons under his belt (2021-23), but he's going to have a hard time seeing the field behind Tracy and rookie Cam Skattebo in 2025. He can be ignored on draft day."

"As has been the case for the majority of the campaign, Singletary worked well behind rookie RB Tyrone Tracy, who logged a 60 percent offensive snap share to the veteran's 30 percent mark. Singletary was brought in during the offseason to potentially serve as a workhorse back after the departure of Saquon Barkley to Philadelphia, but Singletary didn't log double-digit carries in any game after Week 4 and tallied 30 or fewer total yards in six of his final seven contests. Instead, it was Tracy who took hold of the starting running back role for the Giants, and that figures to be the case again next season. Singletary has two years remaining on his three-year, $16.5 million deal, so he figures to be back with New York for the 2025 campaign as the No. 2 option in the team's backfield."

"Ford returns for his fourth season in Cleveland, but he's no longer a threat for more than a situational role after the Browns selected Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson in April's draft. Ford played six full games without Nick Chubb last season and was productive, averaging 14.0 touches, 78.0 yards and 14.0 fantasy points. He was also the team's lead back for most of 2023 and finished 16th among RBs in fantasy points (25th in PPG) while piling up 1,132 yards and nine TDs. Ford, who averaged a terrific 5.4 YPC last season, is capable as a rusher and receiver, but would need a Judkins injury in order to find his way back to the fantasy radar. The 25-year-old is worth no more than a late flier."

"Ford's salary reduction follows the Browns' selection of second-round running back Quinshon Judkins at No. 33 overall in April's draft, in addition to running back Dylan Sampson in the fourth round. Per Kabot, had Ford not agreed to a pay cut he would have been a trade candidate, and Cleveland may have re-signed free agent Nick Chubb (foot). With Ford's spot on the roster now essentially guaranteed, the door appears closed for Chubb to reunite with the Browns, barring damage to the team's depth. Zac Jackson and Lauren Smith of The Athletic report that Ford currently retains his hold on the top spot on the depth chart, but his pay cut is a clear indication the role will be up for grabs if Judkins logs a more impressive offseason."
