"Wilson inked a one-year, $6 million deal with Miami in March of 2025 to presumably provide the team with developmental upside as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa. Upon Tagovailoa being benched Week 16, however, it was rookie Quinn Ewers (knee) who got the chance to audition his talents and start the Dolphins' final three games, an indication that Wilson isn't in consideration as part of the team's future plans. Wilson is now set for free agency, and it seems likely he won't re-sign with the team, though Tagovailoa has stated he's open to playing elsewhere in 2026, as Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports."

"Gabriel was selected by Cleveland in the third round of April's draft. His 6.5 aDOT last season was easily the lowest in this rookie class, but he made it work, completing 73% of his passes and he was off target on a class-low 6.0% of his aimed throws. He was way more aggressive during multiyear stints at Oklahoma and UCF, and his overall collegiate efficiency is terrific, including QB rating (class-best 161) and QBR (78.8). He's an older prospect and undersized, but adds some value with his legs (career 311-1,895-33 line). Gabriel will begin his career behind Joe Flacco and will hope to earn starts ahead of he, Kenny Pickett and fifth-round rookie Shedeur Sanders this season. He'll be worth drafting in superflex only if he wins the job."

"Gabriel is a late addition to Cleveland's injury report, a seeming indication that he injured his left shoulder at some point this week. In the event that Gabriel isn't cleared for Saturday's divisional matchup against Pittsburgh, Bailey Zappe will stand to be elevated from the practice squad in order to operate as the backup to starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders."
