"Maye is entering his second NFL season and his first as the Patriots' Week 1 starter. The 2024 third overall pick took over as New England's starter in Week 6 and went on to play the bulk of the snaps in 10 games. Though he wasn't a starting option in fantasy (his one top-10 outing came in Week 7), he played well (17th in QBR) and provided a respectable floor, averaging 16.4 fantasy PPG (that would've ranked 15th over the full season). New coach Mike Vrabel operated run-heavy offenses all six seasons in Tennessee, which may limit Maye's upside, but that could mostly be offset by Maye's rushing ability (he ranked ninth in yards, second in YPC and fifth in scrambles among QBs as a rookie). Especially if Stefon Diggs (ACL) will be ready to go in Week 1, Maye will make for an excellent late-round flier with upside."

"Per Lazar, Maye turned in another solid effort during Monday's minicamp session, continuing a trend that has seen the young QB demonstrate signs of improvement this spring as he adjusts to new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' system. Though the team's practices at this stage are of the non-contact variety, Maye's progress is nonetheless encouraging, with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft noting that he's "starting to really find a stride" as next month's training camp approaches. After logging 2,276 passing yards and a 15:10 TD:INT ratio in 13 appearances as a rookie, Maye enters his second campaign as a pro entrenched as New England's franchise QB, with the 22-year-old's 2025 fantasy prospects buoyed by a series of offseason additions aimed at improving his supporting cast. While it remains to be seen how productive the team's re-tooled wideout corps will be out of the gate this season, a context that affects Maye's short-term upside, the North Carolina product's wheels could still help him land him on the fantasy lineup radar, even if the Patriots passing attack takes time to gel."

"Stroud enters his third NFL season looking for a rebound following a bit of a step back in 2024. Stroud had one of the best seasons ever by a rookie QB in 2023 (12th in QBR, eighth in pass yards, ninth in fantasy PPG), but he plummeted to 26th in QBR, 14th in pass yards and 28th in PPG last season. He opened the season with two seventh-place fantasy weeks in his first four games, but proceeded to finish 14th or worse each of the 13 remaining weeks. He reached 20 fantasy points only once (Week 4). Still only 23, Stroud is still on the ascent, but he'll need to produce more through the air in order to offset mild-to-moderate rushing contributions. He's best viewed as a serviceable QB2 with limited upside."

"Stroud was kept from throwing early at voluntary OTAs due to what was initially called a minor pectoral injury, but Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston now reports the third-year quarterback is dealing with muscle tightness in his throwing shoulder. Coach DeMeco Ryans indicated Tuesday that there are "no concerns" with Stroud, per Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com, and that the team is simply being cautious with him. Stroud still has roughly a month and a half to get fully healthy before the start of training camp. The most notable consequence of his current absence from practice is missing early opportunities to build chemistry with new wideouts Christian Kirk, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, but the majority of such reps will be taken during camp and in the preseason."

C.J. Stroud's rushing yards per attempt has increased by 129.24% over the past 6 weeks.

C.J. Stroud's passing yards have decreased by 39.89% over the past 8 weeks.

C.J. Stroud's rushing yards have decreased by 58.16% over the past 10 weeks.
