"Pierce played 14 snaps in a minimal role behind starter Joe Mixon, as was the case all season when both backs were healthy. It'll be status quo in 2025, as both he and Mixon are under contract for next season. It will be Pierce's final season under his rookie contract, and he'll become an unrestricted free agent in 2026. He ended the regular season with 40 carries for 293 yards and two touchdowns over 11 games played. As a receiver, Pierce caught two of four targets for two yards."

"Pearsall is entering his second NFL season positioned well for a breakout after a gunshot wound derailed a chunk of his rookie campaign. After debuting in Week 7, Pearsall had a few strong fantasy outings (17-plus points in three games), but was otherwise a nonfactor (3.6 PPG in the other eight games). The 2024 first-round pick finished strong (8-141-1 and 6-69-1 receiving lines in Weeks 17 and 18, respectively) and now has a much clearer path to consistent work with Deebo Samuel Sr. gone and Brandon Aiyuk (ACL) expected to miss part of the season. There are still plenty of mouths to feed in San Francisco, but Pearsall very well could lead this team in targets. He's well worth a midround flier."

"Pearsall worked out on the side at the start of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, per Lee Chan, and it seems likely that he won't join on-field work until training camp. With Brandon Aiyuk (knee) also not yet ready to practice as he works his way back from ACL and MCL tears, Jauan Jennings and Demarcus Robinson will handle first-team reps. Once fully cleared, Pearsall will begin building momentum toward a potential Year 2 breakout."

"We're now four years into the Kyle Pitts experience and it's safe to say things aren't going as well as expected. The 2021 No. 4 overall pick exploded out of the gate with 1,026 yards and an 11th-place finish in fantasy PPG as a 20-year-old rookie, but he's yet to come close to those marks since, peaking at 667 yards and 17th in PPG (both in 2023). Pitts did post career highs in TDs (four) and end zone targets (seven) last season, but his 14% target share was a career low and ranked 25th among TEs. He wasn't even playing half the snaps during the final month of the season, leaving his role very much in question for 2025. He has the pedigree and is still only 24 years old, but Pitts can't be trusted as anything more than a bench lottery ticket."

"Morris declined to specify the nature of Pitts' current injury, but reports amid his absence from OTAs last week linked the 2021 first-round pick to a foot issue, per Kyle Crabbs of AtoZ Sports. Around the same time, multiple NFL sources floated rumors naming Pitts a possible trade candidate, per Matt Urben of USA Today. Pitts is currently heading into the final season of his rookie deal due to Atlanta's decision to pick up his $10.88 million fifth-year option, and offensive coordinator Zac Robinson said he's expecting the tight end "to take a big jump in Year 2 of the system" in 2025. He scored a career-high four touchdowns in 2024 but had just 47 catches for 602 yards, a step down from his 53 grabs for 667 yards in 2023 and a far cry from his 1,026-yard rookie campaign."

"Wright was once again the No. 2 option at tight end behind Sam LaPorta, operating as a top-tier blocking option at his position. Wright found his way into the end zone on a pair of occasions, including in Week 11 against the Jaguars when he drew the start at tight end in place of LaPorta, who was unavailable with a shoulder injury. Wright signed a three-year deal with Detroit in April, and he'll likely enter the 2025 campaign in a very similar role as the top reserve option at tight end."
